Marcel Beijer (1961, Hilversum, Netherlands) is an author, journalist and columnist.
In his early years he made radio and television programs for the AVRO and wrote (song) lyrics for various radio, television and theater programs. Later he was part of several theater groups. He wrote lyrics for several record companies.
Journalist
Partly because of these experiences on stage and in front of the camera, Marcel Beijer became a stage critic in 1989 and followed the Journalism course. In 1992 Beijer became a reporter. Today he is a reporter/editor and columnist.
In 1997 he made his debut as a novelist with Overwonnen Verlangen. The successor Gouden Bergen was published in 2020. The English translation of this book will be published in 2022.
